Congratulations to all our Year 11 students who achieved excellent grades in their IGCSE/GCSE exams! An impressive 60% of all the IGCSEs/GCSEs taken were awarded an A*-A grade when the UK average is only 22%.
Students study the two-year International General Certificate in Secondary Education (IGCSE) course or the General Certificate in Secondary Education (GCSE). They sit examinations at the end of Year 11 with the following examination boards:
IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. It is recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide and are significant qualifications for university applications. All of the examinations are universal being set and marked externally.
Year 9 Students choose their IGCSE subjects after consulting their Form Teachers and Subject Teachers and following the Options Evening presentation where all options are presented to Students and parents alike.
The current Options Booklet can be downloaded here. It is recommended that Students choose a broad and balanced range of subjects to keep their university and career options open at this stage.
