Value of the Month: Excellence

A Message From The Head

We are looking forward to seeing you on the evening of the 17th June at 8pm for the Presentation of the New School Building for September 2025. Please sign up here if you would like to attend! We will be presenting the progress so far, the plans for the finished building, and also how the new building ties in with our Educational Vision.

Please do complete our Parent Voice Survey to give us your feedback and help us to improve what we do - link here.

Summer Camp

We are finalising the details for our Summer camp. If you are interested to enrol your child, please sign up here. The cost is 220 euros per week per child. The school will offer a limited bus service to and from Byron college for students, which involves an addition cost. Parent Voice

As part of our continuous efforts to improve the educational experience for our students, we are conducting another parental questionnaire. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we kindly request you to take a few minutes to complete this survey. The responses are collected and analysed and by our Senior Leadership Team. Holocaust exhibition

Byron College in coordination with the Polish Embassy, will hold a one day exhibition in school, regarding the Holocaust on the 12th June. Years 7-10 will visit the exhibition during the day in order to learn about the different aspects of the Holocaust, dispel myths and stereotypes and reflect on their learning. We would like to thank our History students who have volunteered to help, the Polish Embassy who provided the materials and Ms Wasilewska for the initiative and organisation.

Re-registration

Please note that the deadline for re-registration for the following academic year has passed. If you have in advertantly failed to reregister, please book an appointment with Ms Barlis immediately.

Used notebook / scrap paper collection

As per every end of the academic year, we will soon be taking down displays and clearing out our classrooms. During the week commencing on the 17th of June, Ms. Voulpioti will be collecting any notebooks with clear pages and scraps of coloured card (from used displays or leftovers). These will be repurposed by students and either used or donated. For example, we used last year's paper waste to create Christmas cards for the Christmas Bazaar and Well-Done postcards for KS3 students. If you have any of those items, please spare them from the landfill and ask your children to place them (as neatly as possible) on the tables set up on the school's main staircase. After all: One man's trash is another man's treasure. Please do not worry about cutting out used pages from notebooks or removing unusable parts from the coloured card. This will all be done during the repurposing process. All you need to do is simply hand them over. Thank you for being part of this.

IGCSE, AS and A Level exams

Students are reminded to come in school wearing their school uniform and follow the exam procedures - PE uniform is also permitted.

  • Students who start their exams at 9am go straight to the hall and register with invigilation staff
  • Students who come in after 9am sign in with Manos at the gate
  • Students who have exams after 9am but come in school earlier need to be in the library and sign in with the librarian.
  • All exam students need to get a sign out slip from the office and are not allowed to sign out and sign in again unless we have permission from parents in cases where they have two exams in a day and the first exam and the second are many hours apart.

Oxford Model United Nations 2024, Harvard Model Congress Europe 2025 and CSMUN
Model United Nations (CSMUN) 2024

MUN is a very popular extra-curricular activity in which students roleplay delegates to the United Nations, simulate UN committees, and learn about diplomacy, international relations, current world issues, and the UN itself. This year, Oxford Global celebrates the ten-year anniversary of their first ever MUN conference. By the end of an HMCE conference, students leave empowered with new knowledge and the confidence to become civically engaged in their own communities. Harvard Model Congress Europe 2025 will take place in Brussels and is a simulation of the US Congress but includes UN committees and Economic forums such as the G8. CSMUN programme was founded in 2012 and has grown into an annual event which attracts a large and diverse number of participants, from Greece and abroad. If you would like to participate in one or more of these conferences, please contact Mr Zimarakis This email address is being protected from spambots.
