Bonfire Night 2016
A skeleton welcomed us and dared us to enter. Ghosts thrilled about their celebration had started to dance and pumpkins scattered were lit up with joy.
Mr. Say Cheese was begging the gathering people for a photo, while Mrs. Boo was daring the crowd to wear her haunted jewelry!
The smell of the barbecue tickled our nose making it difficult to decide what to eat.
People drinking mulled wine had gathered around the bonfire and were buzzing with joy. When out of the fire a dancer appeared heaving the flames to the black and cool sky.
The haunted house and escape room were busy as always while scary face-painted children were queuing to savour the emotions of terror and thrill.
All of a sudden an explosion was heard... guests froze with fright in their sight... and then an eruption flooded the darkness with colours so bright. All eyes were looking up at our dark sky. Night became day as the fireworks dazzled away.
With our volunteers positively exhausted and the bonfire burning out the successful event had come to an end.
Our skeletons and ghosts who witnessed the celebration, promised to spread the word and meet us next Bonfire Night.
A big THANK YOU to our parents, pupils and friends who supported us and came to celebrate.
An even bigger THANK YOU to our Sixth Form pupils for their Haunted House and Escape Room which were filled with fear, and extremely creative and talented Parents Association who worked endless hours to make this event possible. You are a great team well done.
