Sciences

The school delivers the KS3, KS4, and KS5 curricula with an emphasis on practical work.
 
Our pupils in Grades 7, 8, and 9 are exposed to a broad and balanced science curriculum, which includes physics, chemistry, and biology. The pupils are assessed by examination twice a year.

During the course of the year pupils are involved in team project work as well as group practicals.
 
At KS3 level (Grades 7, 8 and 9), experimental technique is emphasised.

At KS4 level, pupils make choices to study either one, two or all three sciences at IGCSE level through Cambridge International Examinations.

At KS5 our pupils continue with either one, two or all three sciences at Advanced Level.

At this level, we have small groups of devoted students who study their chosen science(s) at an Advanced Level (2 years) or who have opted for the 1 year Advanced Subsidiary Level.

Our practical facilities are approved by EdExcel and external supervision takes place during A / AS Physics and Chemistry examinations.
