Poetry, plays and novels are studied throughout Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. Modern authors like Louis Sacher and classic playwrights (eg. Shakespeare) are all part of the rich syllabus on offer, and pupils are encouraged to write creatively and analytically in response to these texts. DEDICATION - At Byron, pupils are taught the importance of the "nuts and bolts" of the English language; key skills of spelling, grammar, punctuation and presentation are all emphasised.
