Celebrate Culture 2007 May 12, 2007

The School's second annual cultural festival, 'Celebrate Culture', was held and attracted an audience of over 800 guests!!

We believe that we managed to improve on 2006's great event and the numbers and atmosphere seem to confirm that.

Our 'Parade of Nations' saw over 75 pupils parading in their national costumes to great applause.

Our stands this year which provided food and exhibitions of national artifacts numbered over 40 and we were very proud to host exhibitions from Medicines Sans Frontieres, Action Aid, Fair Trade.

Once again, the highlights of the evening were provided by the colourful dance and music performances. Last year's performers from Egypt, Georgia, Inconesia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Greece were joined by performers from Scotland, Pakistan, Philippines, China, our local Music School and, for the first time, a live Nigerian band!

Such was the excitement created by the musicians that the Heads of School were reported to have been seen on the dance floor displaying their Terpsichorean talents!
