This annual tournament is this year being held in Athens at the premises of 'Nea Genia Ziridis'. The Byron team, which hopes to build on the excellent overall performances of recent years, is made up of 20 pupils taking part in those areas in which we traditionally do well. The Byron team is a mixture of young pupils taking part for the first time and of more senior participants who could well be referred to as 'veterans'. The tournament is to be held on March 17th, 18th and 19th and our pupils will be presenting the following pieces: Dual Acting: Comedy Deji Akitunde and Jason Langadas: 'An unwelcome Guest' by Anne Hughes. Anna Athanassiadis and Katie Vandorou: 'The Wedding Present'. Kelly Ann Rala and Mehreen Manzoor: 'Shakespeare, Horney Toads and Banana peels', by David Le Master. Jonathan Scott and George Pappas: 'Cops' devised and written by the actors. Dual Acting: Drama Marwa Ibrahim and Israa Ibrahim: 'Which one is Marta?' devised and written by the actors. Nadia Sotiropoulou and Xanthipi Choraitis: 'The Prickly Bear', devised and written by Nadia and Xanthipi. Oral Interpretation: Comedy Dylan Windell: 'The Little Girl in white', by Richard Chrompton. Alex Fakinos: 'Superfudge', by Judy Bhume. Natasha Perrera: 'Matilda', by Roald Dahl. Zoya Rikallah: 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', by Roald Dahl. Oral Interpretation: Drama Daphne Garcia: 'A Child called it', by Dave Pelzer. Alex Jreij: 'The tell-tale heart', by Edgar Allan Poe. Margaret Langadas: 'Mother's Helper', by Auline Bates. We wish all participants the best of luck and we will be soon recording their achievements.
