Our Nursery and Kindergarten classes fall into the Foundation stage of the British National Curriculum and all instruction is in English. As a truly international school most of our pupils are not English speakers on arrival, but quickly acquire a working knowledge of the language. The Nursery Class accepts children from three years of age onwards and the Kindergarten from four.
Although there is a seperate and clearly defined curriculum for each year, both classes receive instruction in six main areas. These are: Language and Literacy, Mathematics and Numeracy, Knowledge and Understanding of the World, Creative Development, Physical Development and Personal and Social Development. These areas of development are achieved through Role play, Language, Science, Cooking, Music, Movement, Art and Craft, Math's and Cognitive skills.
Our Nursery and Kindergarten department is defined by the independent, polite and socially aware pupils who acquire all the necessary academic preparation, to commence Year 1 at five years of age.
